How to summarize yourself? It's a weird thing for me, and was surprisingly hard to do. I'm proud of many things in my life, though not all of them are tangible. So, here's what I've got: Wife to a super supportive and hardworking guy with a crazy schedule in the ER. Mom of two awesome boys (although, they're teens, so they occasionally suck). Former teacher (a million years ago). Stay at home mom (sorta). People pleaser (from birth). Peace keeper/hater of conflict (unless you come for someone I love). Swallower of emotions (but constantly working on that). Constant user of sarcasm and humor to get through the tough times (or just to get through days ending in Y). Supporter of everyone else (but trying to do something for myself for once). Lover of music and travel and Nashville and rescue dogs and coffee and beer.

Working alongside these two loud mouthed bitches is pushing me to find my own voice after a lifetime of wishing to be heard, but not risking speaking up. Of putting my own needs second after everyone else's, because it's easier to focus on others that deal with your own bullshit head-on. So, that's my journey at 43 years old...working through the baggage accumulated throughout a lifetime and finding out who I am on my own, not just as Ryan's wife and Eamon and Liam's mom. As Mary.
