The New Moon is a time of new beginnings. It's when the mo(o)n-thly cycle begins after the Dark Moon; it is the first sliver of light of the next Moon and so a new cycle begins. This month the New Moon in Sagittarius is the last New Moon of the year and it is also occurring during a Total Solar Eclipse, when the new moon directly passes between the Sun and Earth, blocking the sun's light completely. This New Moon represents the end of something(s) in order to make room for the beginning of new things.
Now is the time for self-reflection. Begin to think about what it is you want to bring into the New Year and begin manifesting those things. This is an extremely powerful time so make sure you are clear on what you really want to bring into 2021. Emotions will run high and fear will be present. Listen to the signs that are sent to you, but hold off on acting upon them right now, just make note of what they are and feel all the feelings that come up with them.
Themes to consider at this time:
Your sense of Adventure
Friendships- Your Vibe Attracts your Tribe
Plant the seeds of new ideas- Take action on that idea you have been sitting on
Full expression of yourself- Go Big or Go Home
Teachers & Gurus- Recognize the teachers who show up in your life

A NEW MOON RITUAL
(modified from Yasmin Boland, author of Moonology)
Materials:
Pen
Paper
Black crystals
Essential Oils
Candle (preferably a black candle, small)
A bell (if you have one)
Oracle Card Deck (if you have them)
Picture of the Goddess Fortuna and/or Archangel Raguel
The Process:
Sit at your Spiritual Space, altar or space you are comfortable in and play some meditative music
Write a list of what you want to "Be or Become" in your life
Write dow what you want to change or how you want to grow this moon cycle or if your intention is for the New Yea, then consider that
Read what you wrote and allow it to absorb into your being, your soul, and your heart
Write the ONE word that summarizes the energy you want to embrace or create
Write the word on your candle or on the list
Light the candle and speak the word BeCome out loud
Sit in silence or meditation for at least 11 minutes and let the candle burn out or blow it out and let your wishes spread into the particles of the Universe to be held, processes, and created into what is meant for you
End your ritual with a few words of gratitude and "So it is, and so it shall be."
